I think one of the best facets about being married and having a spouse is the fact that they bring out the best in us and the worst in us. I don't know about you, but if I have a wart, a sticking point, or something that needs to change, it does not become more obvious than in my interactions with my best friend and husband. It makes me feel a combination of happy and sad for him. Sad that he had to face it head-on, in my ugly state. And happy because when I do act ugly, it really stands out to me and makes it obvious that I have more work to do in perfecting of self (a lifelong ambition: to always grow).
